With the growing importance of cybersecurity for increasingly connected and, in the future, even autonomous vehicles, purely self-taught learning or the selective acquisition of specialist knowledge is no longer sufficient. Systematically reducing cyber risks, avoiding cyber threats and ensuring trouble-free processes throughout a vehicle’s product lifecycle are essential to ensure the safety of drivers, passengers and the environment.
Therefore, not only cybersecurity knowledge needs to be imparted to a large number of developers, engineers, cybersecurity specialists and other stakeholders. Organizations (manufacturers and suppliers) must also demonstrate this competence. As part of their compliance with legal obligations such as UN R155, they must systematically demonstrate in-depth expertise in the field of cybersecurity engineering for vehicle development and also be able to prove that they have established a cybersecurity culture.
Official certification programs with examinations and comprehensive knowledge assessments are essential for this.
These programs must not only issue simple certificates of attendance, but must also ensure a thorough assessment of the training content provided. The ACP Framework of the CYEQT Knowledge Base (formerly CYRES Academy) is one such competence management model that meets these requirements in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155.

The training courses offered by the CYEQT Knowledge Base (formerly CYRES Academy) include certificates of attendance officially issued by the CYEQT Knowledge Base, which are personalized for the participants after they have completed the training (live training or video training).
In addition, Automotive Cybersecurity Professional Level 1 and Level 2 have the opportunity to take an additional examination, which includes official certification by the TÜV Rheinland personal certification body after the training.
The prerequisite for admission to the exam is successful participation in the Level 1 or Level 2 training (live or video training) of the CYEQT Knowledge Base or CYRES Consulting. In addition, participation in the certification exam must be purchased separately from the training.
The examinations are conducted exclusively online (live) in cooperation with TÜV Rheinland. Registration takes place via the online learning platform of the CYEQT Knowledge Base. Please note that the exams only take place on certain dates. In addition, the following is required to take the exam:

In order to meet the security criteria of the test in accordance with the requirements of the TÜV Rheinland personal certification body, participants must clearly identify themselves to the examiner. This requires an activated webcam and an official photo ID (e.g. ID card or driver's license).
After the online examination, TÜV Rheinland checks the results and issues the official personal certificate. You will receive this as a digital PDF document. Please note: Delivery may take 7-10 working days.
The certificate is valid for three years. After that, recertification is possible.
After the exam, you will find out whether you have passed and what percentage of questions you have answered correctly. Detailed results at the level of individual questions are not provided.
The questionnaires of the Automotive Cybersecurity Professional exams are subject to the copyright of the CYEQT Knowledge Base (formerly CYRES Academy) in collaboration with CYRES Consulting and the examination regulations of the ACP Framework. They cannot be made available either before or after the exam.

In order to take the ACP Level 1 exam, you must have successfully completed all two sessions of the ACP Level 1 "Foundation" live training (or: all video courses of the ACP Level 1 video training). Important: Your participation in the training must not date back more than one year. The date of the Certificate of Attendance is decisive.
The ACP Level 1 exam is an online exam. You have 30 minutes to answer 30 multiple-choice questions based on the content of the ACP Level 1 "Foundation" training. There may be none, one or more correct answers. To pass, you must answer at least 21 of the 30 questions correctly.
The processing time for the questions is 30 minutes. Including the organizational procedures such as proof of identity and setting up the online exam room, we recommend that you allow around 2 hours for the entire exam.
The following aids are permitted for the ACP Level 1 examination:
In order to take the ACP Level 2 exam, you must have successfully completed all six sessions of the ACP Level 2 "Advanced Engineering" live training (or: all video courses of the ACP Level 2 "Advanced Engineering" video training). Important: Your participation in the training must not date back more than one year. The date of the Certificate of Attendance is decisive.
The ACP Level 2 exam is an online exam with a duration of 75 minutes. You have to answer 50 multiple-choice questions based on the content of the ACP Level 2 "Advanced Engineering" training. You can answer none, one or more questions correctly. To pass the exam, at least 25 of the 50 questions must be answered correctly.
The pure processing time for the questions is 75 minutes. Including organizational procedures such as proof of identity, we recommend that you allow around 2 hours for the entire examination

The ACP Framework with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification is a certification program for Automotive Cybersecurity. It validates professional competence in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN Regulation No. 155 – and must always reflect the current state of the art. For this reason, certificates are valid for three years only, after which recertification is required.
No. Instead, you submit documents proving your professional activity in Automotive Cybersecurity as well as your participation in relevant training. These documents are reviewed by TÜV Rheinland / PersCert TÜV as part of the recertification process.
For all ACP Levels: You must demonstrate that you have been continuously working in the field of Automotive Cybersecurity throughout the original certificate's validity period (e.g., in vehicle safety or the development of safety-relevant systems).
In addition, you must provide proof of completed training in Automotive Cybersecurity, depending on your level:
ACP Level 1 "Foundation": at least 3 units (45 min. each)
ACP Level 2 "Advanced Engineering": at least 8 units (45 min. each)
You can initiate the recertification process no earlier than 3 months before your certificate expires – and no later than 3 months after expiration. Please note: If you apply after the expiration date, the validity period of your new certificate may be shortened.
